sorry ive been quiet for a while. art wise i haven't done much because my materials were locked in a car for two weeks, with no way to get them.

i still haven't completely unpacked, so some of my sketchbooks with pictures i was working on are in boxes somewhere. :/ some of those pictures were trades so i feel very bad every time i visit this site, because i owe people pictures and i might just have to restart them.

bleh.

anyway.
i do have one sketchbook so i'll try and post some stuff from it. maybe.

Before we get started on the content concerning the title of this entry i just have to say thank you to for the Starbeam art:

I am in the middle of my side of the trade. :3 drawing boys is my weakness. >.>

Also i wish to thank for ninjaing this art.. i nearly didn't see it with how busy I've been. but I did, so again, thank you!


Anyway! on to the topic!...
I have found a new love, it is refreshing and addictive. i feel inspired and all i want to do is draw epic scenes of love and magic from my novels.. the air of creativity i haven't felt in such a long time.

and this new love is with the singer/band Florence and the Machine I mean florence are a pretty well known so im not claiming to have "discovered" her. i mean it was a personal discovery of something others had already cottoned on to.

Not every single one of the songs on their album I'm in love with, but that's a good thing. The Album is SOOO varied. something I truely treasure in an artist. I mean I there are bands i like the sound of but after a while, all their songs sound the same. Anyway i haven't felt THIS excited about listening to music since i first heard The Birthday Massacre who is great to listen to when ever I'm thinking up new ideas to get my books going.

Florence.. I love her voice. i also find the lyrics very poetic and clever. the songs have a nice rhythm most of the time that her voice just breaks through.

Especially these three songs, are so inspiring to me right now.

"Cosmic Love", "Drumming", "Between Two Lungs" and "Rabbit Heart." (rabbit heart i like, but not as much as the others, but fits with my OC Melinda and her story so well its inspiring)

I especially Love "Cosmic Love." except i hate for the Twilight series making the Word "Twillight" almost a curse word to me. Anyway this song is COMPLETELY unrelated to that series. i just have to remember that.

just to make you realise how much I love her. i haven't listened happily to a song on repeat for about... 5-6 years. this is huge for me.


P.S. Feel free to disagree with me on liking them, i understand music is one of those things which everyone has different tastes in. but they are a band i would recommend giving a listen too. *_*

because the songs have really got me in the arty, writing mood. I even FINALLY finish figuring out how im going to finish the first novel in my Children's book series.. its been bugging me for ages.. because i had several plot problems to get around.

Sadly my love of music seems to be fickle, so will will see if this love can stand the test of time (im usually over bands in like a month, except for a few who i then love forever)

anyway. she got my writing groove back so i was excited enough to share it with you.

still i have commisions and art trades to get done, as well as exams to study for and packing to do! oh my!
